Dog Tricks
Pièce Unique, MDC Paris, Paris, France
MASSIMODECARLO Pièce Unique is very pleased to present Dog Tricks, Jenna Gribbon’s frst solo presentation in Paris. On this occasion, Gribbon invited author Haydée Touitou to respond to the works. The poems were printed on square sheets of baby pink and yellow paper, assembled as origami roses on green paper stems.
Slow motion
in late night after curtain
all up in air
she makes sure
I never
ever fall
on a bed of thorns
Bleeding gums
need ultra soft twirling
and more tricks
up my sleeve
including her
asking me
what's on top of a house
Blue hour
We chose to bring icing
To the spectacle
A few steps
Here and there
But look
No hands
Petal rain
Is obviously the highest
Form of
Recognition
My smile
Triggered it
In a heart beat
Wooden highlight
By my belly soft and sweet
Yellow or pink
Still unclear
Does she
Even know
Who I am on the floor
Shadow love
Stand up straight for
The projector
Time to shine
Protected
By voice
I'm just a dog
